July was a great month for photographs. My 3 week road trip through the south western US yielded almost 2,000 photos to choose from. My album now consists of a mix of searing desert, spectacular mountains, giant forests and interesting cities. The photos here are from the initial batch of processing. Once all the photos are done I'll probably be posting up a series of travelogue posts.

It was very difficult to choose a favourite this month, but the following picture of the Golden Gate Bridge appeals to me. I like the contrast between the rusty weather beaten chain and the well maintained painted finish of the bridge.
